Héctor Cornejo-González


Hector has represented the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property before WIPO at meetings of the Madrid System and the Trademark Committee.

Background

Graduate in Law from the Faculty of Law of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Since the year 2000, he joined the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, holding different positions in the Divisional Directorate of Trademarks, being the first Departmental Coordinator of Legal Resolutions of Distinctive Signs, culminating as Divisional Deputy Director of Examination of Distinctive Signs in May from 2009 to March 2014. 

Highlights

He highlights his participation as a speaker in various national forums that include public and private universities, civil associations, as well as a speaker in forums in El Salvador, Paraguay and Cuba.

Courses

His training in intellectual property includes courses at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, and the World Intellectual Property Organization; He participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program, "Protection Of Intellectual Property Rights", organized by the Department of State of the United States of America, as well as various courses in our country, highlighting the Diploma in Constitutional Law from UNAM.
