Since 1999, he has worked at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, holding different positions in the Divisional Directorate for the Protection of Intellectual Property, emphasizing having served as Departmental Coordinator of Nullities since November 2001, his last assignment was that of Holder of the Central Regional Office based in Puebla, a position he held from November 2008 to August 2015.
He has attended various training courses on intellectual property at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, Japanese Copyright Office, European Patent Office, Canadian Intellectual Property Office, Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (now called the European Union Intellectual Property Office) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), as well as various courses in Mexico that include a Diploma in Amparo and another in Legal Interpretation.
